2023 World Cup – Qualifications: Nigeria puts on a show and takes revenge on Uganda

The reunion between Nigeria and Uganda turned to the advantage of the D-Tigers. And very largely elsewhere. The Nigerians win (95-69) for this match of the 3rd day of group A of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The indestructible Ike Diogu was masterful. The 38-year-old interior had 27 points, 10 rebounds, one block and two assists.

In this tournament, Diogu turns at 29.5 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists. Incredible performance of the captain for whom several players campaign so that he takes the destinies of the Nigerian Basketball Federation. Absent from the last Afrobasket, the Nigerian proves that he can still render great services on the floor before going to the offices.

This beautiful revenge allows Nigeria (5 pts + 20) to regain the lead of group A ahead of Mali (5 pts + 14). Cape Verde (4 pts-1) fell to third place and Uganda was red lantern (4 pts-7)
