7M-Equatorial Guinea tournament: the Real Rebola-CSA shock, to start
Cano Sport Academy (CSA), the reigning champion 2019 of Equatorial Guinea
The Equatorial Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFUT) proceeded on Monday to draw the 7M tournament. A competition that will last two months, in order to fill the void left in particular by the lack of a football championship since 2019 in the country.
“We want this tournament to kill two birds with one stone. That is to say, also to give joy to the victims of the terrible events in Bata on March 7, but also to give playing time to the players of our local league ” , underlines, Inocencio Ncogo Ndong, the sports director and competitions at the Feguifut.
The kick-off will be given on June 12th. The poster Real Rebola and Cano Sport Academy (CSA), the reigning champion 2019, get the ball rolling. A local derby which will indeed oppose two neighboring teams and only separated by 20 kilometers. The 7M tournament will end on August 3rd.
The “7M Tournament” is dedicated to the victims of the explosions of March 7, 2021 in Bata. The cargo hold of a military camp was set on fire, killing more than 120 people. These explosions also left more than 600 injured
