Mohamed Salah has been walking on the water since the start of the season. The Egyptian is currently the Premier League’s top scorer with 14 goals. But despite his performance, the Liverpool striker only finished seventh in the France football Ballon d’Or ranking.
In an interview with Egyptian media MBC Masr TV before the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Mohamed Salah attacked the system for awarding the Golden Ball and Fifa the best prizes . “The way these awards are given is different and they have different standards in their evaluation, and it’s not meant to harm anyone, but I think their system is unfair,” Pharaoh regretted. That being said, he’s still convinced he’s the best. “At the end of the day, it’s people’s opinions, but in my mind I’m the best player in the world,” said Salah.
For him it is only a matter of time before he wins the golden ball one day. “I can’t say that I don’t want to win the Golden Ball or FIFA the best. But if I don’t win either, that’s okay. Whatever I want, I usually get it. I know I’ll win one or the other later, I’m not worried ”
