The CAF sends a new refusal to Liberia. After a second inspection of the country’s big stadium, Samuel-Kanyon-Doe Sports in Monrovia, the football body has still not approved the infrastructure. CAF considers that the SKD still does not meet the minimum requirements according to the instructions. It therefore confirmed this Thursday, October 21, its decision to ban the holding of its competitions in this stadium.
The head of the inspection mission, the Mozambican Sidat, after having toured the stadium as a whole, told journalists present at the scene ” that it was too early to say that the SKD will be approved because there is still a long way to go. of work to be done ”.
As a reminder, the SKD has been undergoing repairs since last May following the ban on CAF to host international matches. Because, according to the African football body, it does not meet the international standards required by FIFA.
