Rugby-South Africa: supporters will finally find the stands

SA Rugby ( South African rugby federation ) announced this Wednesday, October 13 that supporters can now return to the stadiums. A comeback, 19 months later.
However, the number of spectators cannot exceed 2000. This is a directive from the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture. It will also be in strict compliance with barrier measures.
Spectators must, however, have taken all their doses of vaccine. This is a sine qua non.
South Africa having experienced three devastating waves of Covid. The governing body of South African rugby therefore wants everything to go well.
The president of SA Rugby, Jurie Roux welcomes this return. “ This is great news and the first step in regaining the freedom to sell venues on special occasions once again. It has been 19 months since a supporter was allowed to enter a rugby stadium and it is the light at the end of the tunnel that our sport desperately needs ”.
The president of SA Rugby also hopes that this will increase. ” We hope that this initial allocation will increase rapidly as the impact of the vaccination program and experience in other territories indicate further relaxation of restrictions.
