Cameroon has met the specifications for the organization of the CAN 2021 draw ceremony
A mission from the African Football Confederation (CAF) stayed in Cameroon from May 9 to 12. The delegation led by the Director of Competitions Samsun Adamu was in fact responsible for inspecting the Polyvalent Sports Palace in Yaoundé.
And the conclusions of this inspection mission are particularly good for the host country. “ By confronting the theoretical requirements of CAF with reality, we realize that there is an adequacy. Between the requirements of the specifications and the responses offered by this Palais des Sports in terms of distribution of rooms, volume. And technological amenities in line with CAF, ”reassures the Cameroonian Minister of Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
Technical requirements
Of course, the inspection of the Polyvalent Sports Palace in Yaoundé was the main articulation of this mission. In terms of technical guidelines, the host country is requested to provide 2 digital microphones and wireless headphones. You also need a minimum of 4 wireless microphones, 2 PC audio inputs, HD audio outputs.
The main hall of the Palais des Sports should have at least one giant HD screen, and several Led screens. Cameroon must provide two monitors to the computer control office of CAF. In addition, a high speed internet connection of at least 20 megabits per second. Internet bandwidth intended for the broadcasting of the ceremony on the official CAF website. And then its pages on social networks are also required.
TV production device
For TV production, the list of required equipment includes: 5 HD cameras, 3 x40 minimum objectives and 2 other x15 objectives. A slow motion video server, an Xdcam VTRS, a USB recorder, 5 USB keys. A video mixer with a minimum of 16 inputs is provided. Just like an audio console with 16 microphones minimum, 12 outputs, 2 cranes, a dynamic effects generator, a compressor, a timer and a 4-band equalizer.
The host country must also provide an audiobox for the elimination of interference, a video grid, a 16×16 intercom matrix, 2 telephone coders. Microphones necessary for the TV production device. Lights, audio-video cables needed for TV production and a generator. For satellite transmission, a medium-sized KU band antenna of 1m20, also provided. In addition to an amplifier of 200 watts minimum, detailed associated monitoring, video monitor etc.
Concerning the press, CAF therefore requires the establishment of a media center. It must be able to accommodate a minimum of 150 journalists. The center must have Wi-Fi connection, extension cables. Two televisions, a very high speed printer, a copier, seats with tablets, desks.
