.C1: Paris at the meeting point of the semi-finals
PSG eliminated the European champions and qualified for the semi-final of the Champions League despite the 1-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes. The Parisians had done the hardest in Germany, dominating Bayern 3-2.
Paris finally did. The Parisian fans, however, had to hold their breath for the entire second half. Because their team wasted a lot during the first few minutes. A lack of realism that contrasts with their surgical efficiency at the Allianz Arena. And then, just before the break (40th), their former striker Eric Choupo-Moting punishes them. The Cameroonian allows Bayern to go halfway by scoring with a header. So there was only one goal left for the Germans to overthrow Paris.
Paris suffers but holds on
Mauricio Pochetino’s men, however, held out. They suffered throughout the second half in the face of repeated assaults by the Germans but never broke off. Like Idrissa Gana Guèye, very generous in his efforts. The Senegalese defensive midfielder scratched a lot of balls in the feet of his opponents. His interceptions have forced the Bavarians several times to start their construction again and end up not finding this second goal which would have qualified them in the semi-finals. It is therefore the PSG which invites itself for the 2nd time in a row in the last four of the C1 . He will face the winner between Dortmund and Manchester City. The Citizens took a small lead to go by winning 2-1.
