CAN 2021: the qualifiers in figures
End of the CAN 2021 qualifiers. After nearly a year and a half of intense and exciting battles, we know 23 of the 24 * nations qualified for Cameroon 2021. Despite the Covid-19, it was a breathtaking race of 71 matches and 320 goals scored, marked in particular by the historic qualifications of Comoros and Gambia. Here are the qualifications in numbers.
Twenty-three nations out of 24 * have therefore already made an appointment for Cameroon 2021. But in the meantime, back to the qualifying figures for this CAN 2021 which kept Africa in suspense for nearly a year and a half. .

Best attack: Algeria (19 goals scored).
Top scorers: Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) and Patson Daka (Zambia) (5 goals each)
Worst attack: Botswana, South Sudan and Chad (2 goals scored).
Best defense: Morocco (1 goal conceded).
Worst defense: Sao Tome (16 goals conceded).
Most prolific group: H (35 goals scored).
Least prolific group: B (15 goals).
Largest successes: Algeria – Zambia (5-0) and Algeria – Botswana (5-0).
Most prolific matches: Niger – Madagascar (2-6) and Nigeria – Sierra Leone (4-4).
Team with the most wins: Tunisia (5).
Team with the most draws: Cape Verde (4).
Team with the most defeats: Sao Tome (6).
Undefeated teams : Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia.
É teams without a win: Eswatini, Lesotho, Sao Tome, Chad, Togo.
* The last match of group L Sierra-Leone-Benin was canceled by CAF which opened an investigation
Note that Chad (group A) was disqualified after the suspension of its Federation by CAF for interference. The Sao therefore lost (3-0) on the green carpet their last two games of these CAN 2021 qualifiers.
