CAN 2021 / Gr. F: Rwanda is recovering, Cape Verde under pressure
A narrow but very important success for Rwanda . However, victory over Mozambique was difficult for the Amavubi to draw . They had to wait until the 70th minute to find the fault, thanks to Byiringio on an assist from Imanishimwe. Rwanda thus signs its first victory after 5 days and is relaunched in the race for qualification in this group F.
With now 5 points, the Amavubi keep their chances of accompanying Cameroon, already qualified, as host country. A success that puts Cape Verde under pressure. The Blue Sharks will imperatively have a good result against the “Indomitable Lions” this Friday in Praia.
But whatever the result, everything will be decided on the last day with in particular a Cape Verde – Mozambique looking like a final. As for Rwanda, they will travel to Cameroon for a very complicated match in Yaoundé.
