CAN 2021 – Rwanda: Mashami summons 31 players
Mashami Vincent still believes in Rwanda’s qualification for CAN 2021. This is why, immediately after his renewal for a year on the Amavubi bench , he goes back to work. The head coach of the Rwandan national team published a list of 31 players on Saturday.
Mashami is preparing with Rwanda to face Mozambique in Kigali and Cameroon in Douala in the CAN 2021 qualifiers. It will be, respectively, on March 24 and 30. The task promises to be complicated since the Amavubi are the red lantern of Group F with 2 points in 4 games.
Among the 31 summoned, there are eight who operate outside Rwanda. But nine play for the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA); 5 for Police FC; 4 for AS Kigali. While Rayon Sport and Kiyovu have two players each; only Gasogi United presents a player.
This Sunday, all the players and the staff passed the Covid-19 tests. At the end of the results, training will begin with the premises while awaiting the arrival of the professionals.
However, the national championship is still at a standstill. It could resume at the end of March, announces the president of the Rwandan Football Federation Sekamana Damascène. A partnership was even signed with the Basserie Limonaderie du Rwanda BRALIRWA. The duration is 4 years at the rate of 640 million Rwandan francs (354.2 million FCFA).
