earA solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, blocking the sun’s rays and causing the earth to darken during the day. There are three types of solar eclipses: partial, partial, or full. This coincides with the sun being eclipsed by the moon.

What happened was a partial eclipse, because the moon covered all the sun’s rays in darkness. An eclipse will occur again in North America in the eighth month of 2044
