After 14 long years of waiting, the selection of Tunisia qualifies for the Women’s CAN 2022 .

Despite the defeat (3-2) in Malabo against the Equatorial Guineans for the return leg of the second round of playoffs, Samir Landolsi’s players will finally play the CAN in Morocco. Scorer of a hat-trick in the first leg at the Soliman stadium, Mariem Houij again found the net in the 9th minute of play. Samia Ouni scored Tunisia’s second goal in the 20th minute.

In the first leg, the Tunisians inflicted a correction (5-0) on Equatorial Guinea on February 18. The Federation congratulated the players and coach Landolsi for the work accomplished.

From now on, Mariem Houij and her teammates will be able to savor their qualification while waiting to go to Morocco to take part in the mass of African women’s football.
