Beach soccer: Morocco unveils its list for the CAN
The Moroccan beach soccer selection.
The coach of the Moroccan beach soccer team, Mustapha El Hadaoui, has called up 15 players for the African Cup of Nations in beach soccer scheduled for Senegal. The Atlas Lions roster is made up almost entirely of local players.
Only two expatriates are exceptions: Kamal El Mahrouk and Nassim El Hadaoui, the two members of Grande Motte Pyramide Beach Soccer (France), the most successful club in France (5 titles).
The thirteen locals evolve, notably at Rachad Club Bernoussi, Racing Club Athletic, Bouznika BS and Ittihad Azemmour.
Morocco is lodged in Pool B along with Egypt, Mozambique and Seychelles.
The Moroccans enter the competition on May 23 against the Seychellois. They will face Mozambique the next day before facing the Pharaohs on May 26 for the North African derby.
