Michel Dussuyer remains the coach of Benin.
Frenchman Michel Dussuyer (62), who was at the end of his contract, will be the coach of the Ecureuils du Bénin. The Benin Football Federation made the announcement this evening, Tuesday, June 22, after a meeting of its Executive Committee.
Appointed in June 2018, the former goalkeeper of Nice and AS Cannes led his team to the quarter-finals of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt , lost (0-1) to Senegal. Weakened by the elimination of Benin from the race for CAN 2021, on June 15 in Conakry (Guinea), by Sierra Leone (0-1), Dussuyer will therefore be on the Beninese bench, on the occasion of the second round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, which will start next September. The Squirrels will face DR Congo, Tanzania and Madagascar
