CAF Cup: USMA-RS Berkane, Zamalek-Dreams Fc, the semi-final table

RS Berkane trembled until the end before reaching the semi-final of the CAF Cup

Berkane trembles but big sigh of relief at the end

RS Berkane will also be in the semi-final of the CAF Cup. The Moroccans were however led to the score in the 47th minute by the Libyans of Abu Salim. However, the RS Berkane players did not panic to deviate from their fundamentals. They will get back on the scoreboard in the 68th minute before adding another banderilla 5 minutes later before winning (3-2) at the very end of the game, in a match with multiple twists and turns. In the semi-final, RS Berkane will face USM Alger.

USM, peace of mind at home

As a letter in the post, USM Alger validated its ticket for the quarter-finals of the CAF Cup, this Sunday by beating Rivers United in style. the Algerians showed their determination early in this meeting by opening the score in the 37th minute thanks to the Malian, Abdoulaye Kanou. The Nigerians from Rivers United will try to fight back…in vain. It is even the USM which will make the break in the 74th minute. It is again Abdoulaye Kanou who will pass by there. After the short defeat (0-1) in the first leg in Nigeria, the players of Spanish technician Juan Carlos Garrido managed to make a comeback to qualify for the semi-final of this 2023-2024 edition of the CAF Cup

Zamalek was hot but still passes

Zamalek was hot but did well. The  White Knights  were forced to draw at home (1-1) by their compatriots from Futur FC. But this point was enough for the players of Portuguese coach Jose Manuel Gomes to advance to the semi-final of the CAF Cup. Zamalek beat Future FC in the first leg a week ago with a score of 2-1. The  White Knights  will inherit the Ghanaians from Dreams FC in the last four.

Dreams FC wants to believe it until the end

This is one of the surprise teams of this 2023-2024 CAF Cup. The Ghanaians from Dreams FC were not named as favorites. We thought it would be a ride and then it was gone.  Ohh  no! Dreams FC defied the odds. Victorious (1-2) in the quarter-final first leg, a week ago in Bamako, the Ghanaians did most of their work at home in front of Stade Malien. A 1-1 draw was enough for their happiness to validate their ticket to the semi-final of the CAF Cup. Dreams FC will play against Egyptians Zamalek in the semi-final.
