CAN 2021 took place in Cameroon.
Crowned African champion for the first time in their history after their victory in the final over Egypt, Senegal has put its name on the list of winners of the African Cup of Nations. And in addition to this sporting success,
the Senegalese Federation and the delegation which was present in Cameroon can rub their hands. The Confederation of African Football will soon pay the Federation the sum of 5 million dollars.
The new amount of the bonus allocated to the winner of the CAN. That is an increase of 500,000 dollars compared to CAN 2019. Vice-champion of Africa in title, Egypt will receive the sum of 2.75 million dollars. Again with a higher amount of 250,000 dollars compared to the previous edition. Respectively on the 3rd step of the podium and in 4th place, Cameroon and Burkina Faso will each receive 2.2 million dollars from CAF.
