CAN 2021: CAF sanctions Sierra Leone
African Football Confederation
The African Football Confederation (CAF) has decided. The governing body of African football fines Sierra Leone 4,274 euros.
This follows the match against Benin, in the CAN qualifiers, last March. Sierra Leoneans had produced false Covid tests to disqualify some Beninese players.
The African Football Confederation thus wants to make the case of Sierra Leone, an example. This should prevent other countries from doing the same.
