CAN 2022 (F): the big bonus that awaits Zambians

Zambia is one of the outsiders of the Morocco 2022 Women’s CAN. The Cooper Queens will take part in the CAN for the second time in history. The president of the Football Federation of Zambia (FAZ)has indeed promised to pay each player more than 21,000 dollars (20,000 euros) in the event of a final victory. “If you are successful from start to finish, each of you will be guaranteed a minimum of $21,500. This has never happened before. But we are happy that the government has understood the importance of women’s football. We go to this tournament with great motivation, and we ask the team to repay the support that has been promised by good results ,” said FAZ President Andrew Kamanga.
The Cooper Queens will also be entitled to bonuses of 2800 euros in the group stage, 3300 euros in the event of success in the quarter-finals, 3800 euros for the semi-finals and 4700 euros for a victory in the final. At the CAN, Zambia will do battle in Pool B with Cameroon on July 3, Tunisia on the 6th and Togo on the 9th. The CAN semi-finalists will automatically qualify for the Women’s World Cup while two other teams Africans will play play-off matches.
