CECAFA Kagame Cup: Messager Ngozi is getting ready for the second shock.
Since last Sunday, the CECAFA Kagame Cup has been in full swing in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es salaam.
Burundi is represented by the defending champion, the Messager Ngozi Fc, who entered on Monday against the Zanzibari champions of KMKM FC. The match ended with a score of parity of a goal everywhere.
The second match is played this Thursday against the Tanzanian giant, AZAM FC who occupies the first position, after their victory against the Ugandans of KCCA.
This match is too important for the men of Jimmy Ndayizeye who must imperatively win the meeting to hope for a qualification in the next round because the group is too tight.
The Burundian team is found in Group B with AZAM FC of Tanzania, KCCA of Uganda and the KMKM of Zanzibar Islands.
Recall that this regional tournament had just passed two years without taking place and saw some teams from the region withdraw before its kick-off, one would quote SIMBA Sports Club of Tanzania and TUSKER FC of Kenya.
