The Zimbabwe National Women’s Cricket Team is already preparing for future events. The Lady Chevrons, are currently in training camp. And yet, there is still time for the World Cup qualifiers scheduled for March 2022. But 15 players are now in regroup since Wednesday, in Harare.
The Lady Chevrons will previously participate in a sub-regional qualifying tournament to be organized in Botswana in September .
The team coached by Adam Chifo received last month One Day International (ODI) status from the International Cricket Council (ICC). With the new costume on, Zimbabwe hopes to achieve a good performance at the next World Cup.
The Women’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be held in New Zealand in March 2022. It was originally scheduled for February 6 to March 7, 2021, but has been postponed for a year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
