Rwanda is confident for the next African Cycling Championships scheduled for March 2-6 in Egypt. Indeed, for his interim coach Felix Sempoma, his team will be on the banks of the Nile, to climb to the top step of the podium .

“We are doing well in training and all the riders are responding well. The African Continental Road Cycling Championship is a tough race. It attracts some of the continent’s biggest teams. Nevertheless, our aim is to win the race as we have done in other recent races on the continent, ” says Sempoma.

The Rwanda team  will be aligned in three categories namely: Elite Men, Junior Men and Elite Women. Eight riders were notably selected to the elite men’s team and four young riders were called up to the junior team.

The team is expected to fly to Egypt on February 28 , four days before the tournament.
