Diouf, executioner of Galatasaray

The halt observed by Hatayspor last March – (a point in three games – seems to belong to the past. The promoted took advantage of the arrival of Galatasaray Istanbul (32nd day) to put an end to this bad patch, thanks to a large success (3-0) against the second in the Turkish league and still contender for the title. A man played a major part in this performance which allows Hatayspor to keep all his chances of participating in a European competition next season. This is the Senegalese Mame Biram Diouf (33), author of a double (21st, 72nd), and who took the opportunity to score his twelfth and thirteenth goals of the season, a record completed by the five assists that ‘he delivered.

The former Stoke City striker first took advantage of a serve from Nigerian Babajide David to open the scoring, then an assist from Rayane Aabid. Diouf’s last goal went back to March 3, during a trip to Sivasspor (1-1). From Tuesday evening, on the lawn of Fatih Karagümrük, Hatayspor will be offered the opportunity to confirm his prestigious success against the great Istanbul club. And Diouf, now the club’s  second top scorer  behind Gabonese Aaron Boupendza (18 goals), to improve his personal statistics.

Zamalek thanks Youssef Obama

The return of French coach Patrice Carteron to Zamalek’s bench on March 11 could allow the Cairo club to qualify for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League. Badly embarked  before the fifth day, since he had only two points, Zamalek had the obligation to win on the lawn of MC Algiers to maintain a hope of stretching his course in C1. Thanks to their success (2-0) in Algiers, the Egyptians fulfilled  the first part of their contract  . Youssef Ibrahim “Obama” released his team by opening the scoring after seven minutes, imitated a little later by Mahmoud Hassan Fadiala Shikabala (33rd). Obama unlocked his counter at the right time in this group stage …

The 25-year-old trained at  Zamalek  , who had loaned him twice to Wadi Degla and Al-Ittihad Alexandria, the midfielder will  inevitably be one of the main assets of his team  , during the sixth day, scheduled for Saturday April 10. In the event of victory in Cairo against the Senegalese of Teungueth FC, already eliminated, and if MC Alger loses in Radès against Esperance Tunis, the five-time winners of the Champions League will be qualified for the quarter-finals, scheduled for next May (go May 14 and 15, return May 21 and 22).
