Manchester United and Villareal won this Thursday ahead of AS Roma (6-2) and Arsenal (2-1), in the semi-finals of the Europa League.  Nicolas Pépé allows the Gunners to stay alive for the return leg.

The Red Devils have shown rigor and character in this meeting.  Pellegrini (15 sp) and Dzeko (33  th ) Responded to the opener Bruno Fernandes (9 th ). Led (2-1) at the break, Manchester United found the resources in the second half. Cavani (48 th and 64 th ), Bruno Fernandes (71 th sp), Pogba (75            th  ) and Greenwood (86  th  ) put the Red Devils back on track.  They take a good option for the return leg.  Roma should win (4-0) at home to qualify for the final.  A mission that seems impossible.  “   It won’t be easy because they have taken the lead. But we will do everything to reverse the trend ”,  says Amadou Diawara, midfielder of AS Roma.

In the other semi-final, Villareal and Samuel Chukwueze beat Arsenal (2-1).  Nicola Grandpa 73 rd  , sp) closed the gap and allows his team to keep its chances of qualifying.  “   It’s an important goal because we are at half-time for this double confrontation.  We will have to win at home to qualify for the final,  ”suggests the Ivorian striker.  Pépé has 6 goals in this competition.
