FEGUIFOOT: FIFA requests the postponement of the General Assembly
FIFA asks FEGUIFOOT to postpone its Ordinary General Assembly scheduled for Tuesday, May 18. The suspense to know the new Guinean football boss could therefore continue.

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFOOT), scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, may not be held. Indeed, in a letter sent to FEGUIFOOT , FIFA invites the main players to postpone the meeting, which should lead to the election of the new Guinean football boss.
FEGUIFOOT: FIFA requests the postponement of the General Assembly
At the origin of this initiative, informs the FIFA in its letter, “ the invalidation of the candidacy of Aboubacar Touré alias Bouba Try for the congress of May 14, the opening after the deadline of the candidatures (the statutes say to deposit the candidatures 30 days before the date of the elections) ”.
Bouba Try in the race
Obviously, FIFA did not take into account the evolution of the events mentioned in its letter. Invalidated for the first time, Bouba Try’s candidacy was finally accepted. The interested party reintroduced his file, thanks to the reopening of the candidatures, while he awaited the outcome of his appeal to the governing body of world football denouncing his exclusion.
In addition, in its correspondence to FEGUIFOOT, FIFA mentions the date of May 14 for the holding of the congress, whereas this has been moved to May 18.
Four running candidates
Are Guinean football officials going to postpone the congress anyway? At the time of writing, the electoral commission, presumably opposed to this measure, has not made any announcements.
For the succession of Antonio Souaré, the outgoing president who did not represent himself, the electoral commission retained four candidates: Kerfalla Camara, Abdoul Karim Bangoura, Aboubacar Touré Bouba Try and Chérif Souleymane. That of Ahmed Sékou Camara was rejected.
