After finding his father’s gun in the backseat of a car, a four-year-old kid accidentally shot himself in the head.When the disaster happened in the city of Westwego, near New Orleans, USA, Jarion Walker was sitting in the back car with his two younger siblings, aged 22 months and one year.
According to investigators, his mother was in the front seat smoking pot with another adult when the youngster took up the revolver. On Saturday, Jan 29, about 10:45 pm, Jarion was brought to the hospital and died of his injuries.
Coroner Gerry Cvitanovich described the wound as “a contact wound to the forehead, directly above the right eyebrow.”
Although no arrests have been made, authorities have indicated that an investigation would be conducted.
Mr Lopinto said: “I don’t think it was appropriate to make an arrest at this point. “They just lost a child and it certainly wasn’t intentional by any means.“
