This Johannesburg Open will also be the start of the great season of the Sunshine Tour and the European Tour in South Africa . Then there will be the South African Open and the Alfred Dunhill Championship (December 9-12).

In the last edition, the Dane Joachim Hansen won the Johannesburg Open. He thus won ahead of the South African Wilco Nienaber . Note also that this will be the 14 th edition of this tournament. It has a prestigious list of winners. Including former Masters winner Charl Schwartzel, PGA Tour winner Branden Grace and several European Tour winners George Coetzee, Richard Sterne and Darren Fichardt.
