LDC CAF-Arbitration: Raja Casablanca seizes CAF and threatens
The leaders of Raja de Casablanca complained to the African Football Confederation (CAF) after the big refereeing error which shook their lost match against Al Ahly (2-1), Saturday April 16 in the quarter-final first leg of the League CAF champions.
The pill still does not pass for the Raja of Casablanca. Traveling to the field of Al Ahly, in Egypt, this Saturday, April 16 for the quarter-final first leg of the CAF Champions League , the Moroccans recorded a frustrating defeat (2-1) against the defending champions.
The visitors indeed saw the referee of the match, Jean Jacques Ndala, whistle an imaginary penalty against them for the first goal of the Red Devils. A penalty awarded for mishandling by defender Mohamed Makahasi when he touched the ball with his leg. And more surprisingly, the match official did not reconsider his decision even after viewing the VAR. Outraged by this arbitration decision, the leaders of the Moroccan club sent a letter of protest to the Confederation of African Football(CAF).
The Greens also complained about the assistant referee who assaulted Mohamed Zrida by grabbing him by the throat. Raja Casablanca is now waiting for CAF to take up the case and threaten to take the case to the highest level in the event of the body’s passiveness.
The return match between the two teams next Friday at the Complexe Mohammed V in Casablanca will be refereed by the Senegalese Maguette Ndiaye.
