After losing the first leg, the Parisians are doomed to go and win in England. A mission that promises to be difficult against a great Manchester City team.

To hope to play a second consecutive final of the most prestigious of European competitions,  the Champions League,  Paris Saint-Germain will have to pull out the big game. Beaten in the first leg by Pep Guardiola’s men, the band in  Idrissa Gana Guèye  had yet offered a successful performance in the first half, before collapsing in the second half (1-2 at home) in the face of repeated attacks from the Citizens. On a vicious cross from Kevin De Bruyne and a malicious free kick from the Algerian Ryad Mahrez.

This free kick from Fennec is also reminiscent of the one he scored in the semi-final of the 2019 African Cup in the dying seconds of the match between Algeria and the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Individually, the Mancunian player has never been so close to playing a Champions League final. This will allow him to be more than ever a serious candidate for the African Golden Ball 2021. Unless Paris creates the feat at the Ettihad Stadium.

PSG, very dangerous outside

With their offensive strike force, the Parisians can, in fact, always hope to turn the tide. Neymar and his teammates have already proved against Barcelona (1-4, 8  th  finals) and in front of Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals (2-3) they could really hurt their opponents out. However, it will be without Idrissa Gana Guèye. The Senegalese midfielder took a direct red in the first leg, after a serious sole on Gundogan. But the PSG can count on the return of its Senegalese left side, Abdou Diallo, returned from injury.
