Atlético Madrid won the title of champion of Spain 2020-2021 at the end of the 38th and last day, rich in twists, this Saturday, May 22.

It’s official. Atlético Madrid are champions of the  Spanish  La Liga  at the end of the 38th and final day. After more than two months of uncertainties and suspense, the final verdict therefore fell this Saturday, May 22.  The  Colchoneros  beat (2-1) Valladolid on their lawn to secure first place. Angel Correa (57th minute) and Luis Suarez (67th minute) allowed Diego Simeone’s players to reverse the trend, after being led from the 18th minute on a goal from Oscar Plano.

With 86 points, Atlético is ahead of its runner-up Real Madrid by two units. This is the 11th title of the  Colchoneros  . However, the Madrilenians beat Villareal (2-1), but it was insufficient. Because, it was necessary to count on a defeat or a draw of  Atlético to be champion  .
