Nyange Youssouf, the jewel of Burundian football

Youssouf Ndayishimiye, the Burundian mediator playing for Turkey in the Super League, has just been awarded as the best Burundian player playing abroad. It was last Friday, during the decoration ceremonies of the sports distinctions for the 2020-2021 season.

With a very strange adventure, Nyange youssouf made a very commendable journey at his young age. He began his first steps in professional football with the Aigle Noir team. In 2019, he achieved a historic treble in this club, winning all the cups on his way including the championship, the president’s cup and the unity cup.
At only 18 years old, in 2018 he became the main architect of Burundi’s qualification for CANU20 held in Niger. Since that time, this boy from Buyenzi has never ceased to impress until he joined the senior team of Intamba mu rugamba which qualified Burundi for CAN Egypt.

Internationally, Nyange Youssouf has been coveted by European clubs, especially in Turkey and Latvia. After several internships in Europe, he will see his dream come true in 2020, after being spotted by the Yeni Malatyaspor club.

After only a few decisive months, he will be coveted by big clubs in Europe including Anderlecht of Belgium, Cadiz in Spain without forgetting the Turkish giant of Istanbul Basaksehir who will recruit him last with a check for 3 million Euros.

At 22, his dream is to conquer the five major European championships while stressing that the European championships require a certain discipline and hygiene of life to maintain a standard level.
“We need a certain discipline, to know where we come from, it is also necessary to know that the adaptation or the familiarization with European football is not so easy.

Demba Bâ’s teammate became the mainstay of the Burundi national team during the qualifiers despite the disqualification of Burundi alongside Morocco, Mauritania and the Central African Republic.
Having been awarded as the best player in the diaspora, Nyange Youssouf edged out Marco Weymans from Ostersund in Sweden and Gaël Bigirimana from Glentoran in Northern Ireland
