African blind football has gone down in history. The Moroccans indeed won the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, this Saturday, September 4. This is the first time that an African team has won a medal in this discipline.
The Atlas Lions crushed China in the small final (4-0). The five Moroccan had already created the feat by qualifying for the semi-finals.
But the African champions unfortunately lost to Brazil (1-0). The latter also dictates its law in this discipline. Since its introduction in 2004, the Brazilians have won all editions.
