Phase1, Hope project for Burundian basketball .
Burundi has just hosted a basketball training camp, a project called Burundi Basketball training Camp Ejo. An adventure initiated by an orange balloon professional living in Canada, Patrick Bizindavyi recognized for his bravery and the love he has for his homeland .
At the head of a delegation made up of great Canadian coaches including the famous coach Wayne Dawkins, who has already promoted his nuggets to the great American basketball championship, the NBA.
With only one ambition, the creation of a basketball school in the country, a branch of Phase1 under the same models as the others already founded in Canada, USA and Mexico. This project, which opens its doors in Africa and Burundi first, will see the participation of the best youngsters selected in Burundi to Canada in order to compete against the other foals of the Academy Phase1.

The initiator of the project tells us: Our project wants to boost basketball in Burundi, we have hope that in a period of 5 years, we will be able to have a national team of players playing in the major basketball championships. worldwide. Each summer, we will be here to assess the dividends of this academy. ”
At the end of the training Camp activities, all stakeholders in the Burundian basketball world appreciated the project and promised to invest fully so that its success becomes a reality.
Coach Dawkins, told him that the young basketball players selected (girls and boys) have shown that Burundi is full of more talents that can even compete with those of the great basketball nations, especially than the regular supervision based on statisable performances and quantified is the key to the success of this project.
