Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating one of his goals for his Manchester United debut

Cristiano Ronaldo did not disappoint for his return to Manchester United. The Portuguese international struck from the start against Newcastle. For his first start , Ronaldo scored two goals in Manchester’s victory over Newcastle. Les Mancuniens won 4-1 at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old first opened the scoring in added time in the 1st half and then scored his side’s second goal in the 62nd minute. Newcastle had still equalized in the meantime (56th).

Cristiano Ronaldo therefore signs a winning return, he who lives his second adventure with Manchester United. Goals which also allow Manchester to temporarily take the lead with 10 points.

For Ronaldo, both goals are important for confidence. Next meeting, this Tuesday, September 14 for the first day of the Champions League. The Red Devils move on the field of the Young Boys of Bern (Switzerland).
