Premier League Preview – Gameweek 21 | Liverpool vs Chelsea | Man City vs Tottenham

Edge of the Box is back to preview gameweek 21 in the Premier League this weekend, with host Dan Bardell joined by football tactics expertJonathan Wilsonand Eastafricanreport very own Ben McAleer to discuss this week’s big talking points.

The show starts with a look at the key talking points from last weekend’s action, including Marcus Rashford’s brilliant form, asking if Manchester United’s equaliser in the Manchester Derby should have been ruled out and praise for both Brighton and Newcastle.

We then move onto the Thursday night clash between Manchester City vs Tottenham. The top two scorers in the Premier League this season, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, are compared, analysing whether the latter would make a better fit for Pep Guardiola’s side. Son Heung-Min continues to lack form, but does have a decent return of seven goals in all competitions against City. Big question marks are asked of Hugo Lloris and Spurs’ defence in general and looking at how Antoine Conte can fix it, before looking through a combined XI for the match.

Liverpool vs Chelsea is next up for discussion. The Blues’ transfer strategy is examined looking at if their big spending is actually solving the problem areas in the team which need fixing. The question is asked on whether Graham Potter has been showing his authority in recent weeks, playing Lewis Hall over Marc Cucurella for example. Both sides are having problems in midfield this season, which is briefly discussed. There is also a combined XI to look through for the match.

The match between Arsenal and Manchester United is also discussed. The Gunners went eight points clear last weekend, but is there an element of luck to their title bid, with some of their rivals dropping off in recent weeks? And could one or two injuries, especially in midfield, derail their bid for a first Premier League title since 2004? Luke Shaw is also talked about, comparing him with Daley Blind in his Ajax playing days.

Edge of the Box wouldn’t be the same without the just-a-minute section and that’s included with quickfire previews for some of the remaining fixtures to end the show.

There is also a stats based BetVictor bet builder during the show for both Manchester City vs Tottenham and Liverpool vs Chelsea.
