PSG made a success of its post-World Cup 2022 comeback by dominating (2-1) Strasbourg, this Wednesday, December 28 at the Parc des Princes, on behalf of the 16th day of Ligue 1. The evening, which had started well with the opening of the morning score (14th) from Marquinhos, was close to turning into a nightmare with the equalization (Csc) of the latter (51st) followed by the exclusion of Neymar (62nd). But the Parisians were able to count on Kylian Mbappé, who converted a penalty he caused in stoppage time (90th +6). Seventeen minutes earlier the public had celebrated another event: the return to competition of Achraf Hakimi after his great World Cup with Morocco.
The right side of the Atlas Lions came into play in place of the young El Chadaille Bitshiabu (17 years old). The Park certainly greeted with applause the breathtaking performance of the latter, trained at the club, but he clapped his hands wildly when the Moroccan set foot on the lawn less than two weeks after his last match in Qatar (3rd place) .
Achraf Hakimi anticipated his recovery in the jersey of PSG. His club had allowed him to rest until January. But he resumed training less than five days after the World Cup, joining his friend Kylian Mbappé, who joined the Camp des Loges in the wake of the final lost by France against Argentina.
Morocco reached the semi-finals. An unprecedented performance for an African country to which Hakimi, the tournament’s best full-back, greatly contributed. It deserved a standing ovation
