South Africa killed two birds with one stone. The Springboks beat Scotland (30-15) in their Edinburgh den on Saturday. They then saw New Zealand lose to Northern Ireland (20-29). A defeat of the All-Blacks heavy with consequence. South Africa is reclaiming its number 1 spot that it lost a few weeks ago.

Thanks to their victory over Scotland, the Springboks collected 0.49 points. As for the New Zealanders, they lost 1.34 points because of their defeat. Enough for their pre-match lead (+0.03 points) to fly away.

The South Africans will have the opportunity to consolidate their lead on Saturday 20 November, during their trip to England. A meeting that will end their year of competition.
