Rwanda: the president of FERWAFA resigns
Retired Brigadier General Jean Damascène Sekamana, president of the Rwandan Football Federation, resigned from his post on Wednesday. In a statement, Sekamana told the FERWAFA General Assembly that he no longer has the necessary time to properly fulfill his mission.
In this context of Covid-19, he is obliged to follow the situation of FERWAFA day to day. This is no longer possible given his retirement status. He made this decision to take care of his family plans. Damascène Sekamana preferred to resign so as not to constitute a handicap to the development of Rwandan football. Note that he only had 8 months left to complete his term.
