Rwanda: two candidates for the post of president FERWAFA

Members of the Electoral Commission for the choice of the future boss of Rwandan football.

The electoral commission responsible for organizing the election of the president of the Rwandan Association of Football Federation (FERWAFA) made public, this Friday, June 18, the names of the candidates. They are two to compete for the succession of Jean-Damascène Sekamana, who had resigned from his post last April .

This is Olivier Nizeyimana, the current president of Club Mukura Victory Sport (Rwandan D1). This businessman, at the head of his club since 2011, is favorite to become the boss of Rwandan football. He will be opposed to the former international referee Louis Rurangirwa, president of the Rugende club (Rwandan female D1).

The two candidates have until June 26 to run their campaign. The election is scheduled for Sunday June 27.
