Sierra Leonean football is in mourning . A drama has just hit the family with the round ball. Indeed, 9 players lost their lives in a traffic accident, which occurred in Bombali District, between Makoth and Makarie.

These victims were on their way home from a gala match. The bus that transported them had 30 people on board, including 25 players . The nine will, however, never see their respective families again. Some victims are even identified. They are defender Anward J Koroma, Daniel Kanu, a goalkeeper, and head coach Samuel Kanu, according to Northern League official Mohamed Papa Bangura .

The leader also adds that many wounded have been counted. Faced with the scale of the tragedy, the authorities in charge of football have decided to suspend all football-related activities, until the victims are buried.
