Frenchman Alan Boileau regains first place in stage 5

Already winner of the second and third stages, Frenchman Alan Boileau from B&B Hotels won the fifth stage of the Tour of Rwanda this Thursday, May 6 , between Nyagatare and Kigali. It took 3h28mn45sec to cover the 149.3 km on the program.
Alan Boileau won in the sprint ahead of his compatriot Alexis Vuillermoz of Total Direct Energie. Terengganu Cycling Team’s Eritrean Eyob Metkel completed the podium two seconds behind the leader .
The fifth stage of the Tour du Rwanda was not easy for the Rwandan cyclists. The best ranked finished the race in 20 th place, 28 seconds behind the winner.
The sixth stage, 152.6 km away, will be contested this Friday, May 7. Cyclists will start at the Kigali Convention Center from 9 am to get to Mount Kigali .
