Moise Mugisha is not currently participating in the camp for the Tour of Rwanda. The young cyclist is currently excluded from his SACA team because of a dispute with his trainer.

Moise Mugisha  could miss the 13th edition of the Tour of Rwanda. The recent winner of the Grand Prix Chantal Biya is, for the moment, excluded from his team. This, following a dispute with its SKOL Adrien Cycling Academy (SACA). “How can you perform well with such a trainer?”  Asks the runner. “I can’t work with someone I’m having a quarrel with. I asked the club to let me go but I was threatened with nowhere to go, ”  reveals Mugisha.

The relationship between Mugisha and  her trainer Niyonshuti  has been strained since last July. “I cannot continue to do my job under such conditions. So, it is unlikely that I will increase my points if I do not participate in this year’s edition of the Tour of Rwanda. But, there are still chances in future editions ”  , regrets one of the best Rwandan cyclists.

Considered one of the favorites to win  this year’s  Tour of Rwanda  , the rider then eroded his chances. Because, he even received a ban on training with the team, which is preparing for the Tour of Rwanda 2021. The SACA has also asked him to return his equipment.

For his trainer Niyonshuti, the young cyclist’s lack of discipline could ruin his career. If he doesn’t show more professionalism in the future. “Mugisha is a good runner but he needs someone to advise him, to help him give his career a good direction. He is not part of the group currently training for the Tour of Rwanda until his problem is resolved. But if he is ready to join the team to prepare for the Tour of Rwanda, I would like to see him again, ”  says  Niyonshuti.
