Tunisia: a journalist files a complaint against Aymen Abdennour
Aymen Abdennour
The absence of Abha Saad Bguir (20 caps, 5 goals) from the list of 26 Carthage Eagles for this World Cup in Qatar is controversial in Tunisia. Journalist Naïma Sassi, on a local show, compared Bguir’s ouster from the attacking midfielder to that of Aliou Maaloul in 2017. The Al Ahly defender was replaced at the last minute by Aymen Abdennour for the Cup of the world 2018.
Former Tunisian international Aymen Abdennour did not like this comparison. But instead of reacting to the journalist’s remarks, the former Marseille and Monaco player made fun of his physique on Instagram. Faced with the outcry over his story, he deleted it. Nevertheless, Naïma Sassi has decided to file a complaint against Aymen Abdennour for defamation and public insult
