Mauritania withdraws from qualifying for the 2022 U20 Wom en’s World Cup

The Mauritania women’s football team will not play the second round of qualifying for the 2022 U20 World Cup. The Mauritanians have simply withdrawn.

The Mauritanian formation was to face Ghana. Its withdrawal therefore allows the Ghanaian women to qualify for the next round.

After Togo and Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania is the third country to withdraw from qualifying. These will be held from September 23 to October 9. At the end of the day, two nations will represent Africa at the 2022 U20 Costa Rica Women’s World Cup.
