Ethiopia is reaping the dividends of qualifying for the next African Cup of Nations. Indeed, the Federation is renewing its contract with the equipment supplier Umbro. The two parties thus signed a new four-year lease. The English firm will then have to provide the Ethiopian men’s, women’s and youth teams with jersey kits, training outfits and leisure outfits.

“We are very satisfied with the quality of the products that Umbro has been supplying our football team for the past two years,” says Isayas Jira. “EFF wanted to reach an agreement to continue our partnership. And we are happy to have been able to do so, ” continues the president of the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF). “The partnership with the Ethiopian Football Federation is of great importance. Because Umbro seeks to expand its presence in Africa. But also on the international scene ” , declares, for his part, David Ricketts , the head of the firm in Africa.

“With mutual legacies in football, the decision to continue our collaboration was easy. We see this new agreement as a new beginning and are excited to create something that will appeal to Ethiopian football fans around the world, ” concludes Ricketts.
