Women’s World Cup-U20: DR Congo puts Sao Tome and Principe in its place

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) have taken a serious option to qualify for the second round of qualifying for the Under-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Costa Rica in 2022.
The Congolese crushed (5-1) this Tuesday, August 10 in Lubumbashi, their opponents from Sao Tome and Principe. However, the two teams were tied (1-1) on the hour mark.
After Grace Luvuezo’s opener for DR Congo in the 27th minute, Milena Semedo responded in the 55th minute (1-1) for the visitors.
The Congolese machine then started by scoring four goals in the space of 24 minutes. With respectively Olga Tshilombo, author of a double (61st and 84th), Grâce Luvuezo also scored her second goal of the match (77th). Finally, Emimiya Mafuta closes the offensive festival in the 79th minute.
Thanks to this victory, the DR Congo has almost opened the doors of the second round before the return match which will take place the weekend of August 20 to 22, in Sao Tome and Principe.
