Senegal: Djibril Wade, new president of the professional football league
The Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) held its elective general assembly on Wednesday. And it is Djibril Wade, president of Niary Tally’s club, the only candidate, who was elected unanimously. He succeeds Saër Seck who had been in office since 2013.
Djibril Wade is therefore elected for the next 4 years. The president of the NGB club Niary Tally was the only candidate to succeed Saër Seck.
The latter then decided not to run for a third term at the head of the Senegalese pro league. Djibril Wade obtained 29 votes out of the 29 voters during this elective general assembly, held this Wednesday.
Major projects await Djibril Wade at the head of the Professional League. An instance without own resources and which has been infused for two seasons by the Football Federation.
The search for new sponsors will be a priority to breathe new life into the body and the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 championships.
