CAF Cup: Raja is full, Namungo zero points
The Raja of Casablanca continues his demonstration while Namungo is having a difficult apprenticeship in the group stage of the CAF Cup. The impressive Moroccans sign, in particular, their third success in as many days without conceding. While the Tanzanians still can’t score.
Raja is thus a serious candidate to succeed RS Berkane, the last winner of the CAF Cup. While the Berkans are struggling to assert themselves in Group B, their Casablanca counterparts have literally been wandering around since the start of this competition.
This Sunday, during the shock of group D of this CAF Cup, Raja won, in fact, (2-0) in front of Pyramids. Helped by a goal against his camp of Sherif Ekramy (15th), the Rajaoui made the decision in the 21st minute following an achievement by Ben Malango. These are therefore their fourth and fifth goals in this group stage. But the rearguard of coach Jamal Sellami, built around goalkeeper Anas Zniti, is still as tight.
Enyimba and Coton Sport new leaders
In the other match, Nkana succeeds in the hold-up in Namoungo thanks to Diamond Chikwekwe (69). The Tanzanians are still struggling to shake the opposing nets. And the defense continues to take the water with this fourth goal conceded. However, it is Nkana who has the bad defense with 5 pawns taken.
Orlando Pirates could not do better than a draw (0-0) at Al Ahli Benghazi. The South Africans then left the controls of group A to Enyimba, winner (2-1) of ES Sétif .
Jaraaf gives the donkey hat to Salitas
It is the same scenario in group B where Coton Sport connects a second victory and dislodges JS Kabylie. The Algerians also share points with RS Berkane. The CAF Cup holder follows in third place ahead of NAPSA Stars.
Finally, Jaraaf dominates (2-0) the Burkinabè de Salitas and give them the donkey cap of group C. Albert Diène and Youssou Paye (44th) are the scorers. The Senegalese are third behind, respectively, CS Sfax and ES Sahel. The Tunisians are, in fact, neutralized (0-0).
