While Hugo Broos was in his little papers, Raja Casablanca finally opted for an African technician. It is, in fact, the Tunisian Lassaad Chabbi who is appointed new coach of the Greens announced the management of the club. He therefore replaces Jamal Sellami, who resigned.
Lassaad Chabbi, former coach of US Monastir, thus signs with the Greens. His contract runs until the end of the season and will therefore be renewable depending on the results. During his career, several Austrian clubs: FC Rätia Bludenz, SC Austria Lustenau and SV Ried. The 59-year-old Tunisian-Austrian coach has also been at the helm of Al Jaish’s Qataris as well as of the Thai team of Ratchaburi Mitr Phol. He also won the Tunisian Cup with US Monastir in 2020.
The Greens are currently in a complicated period in the league. They have not won since 4 games (two losses and two draws). Even if they remain dolphins of Wydad, they find themselves six points behind the leader who has yet one game less. However, Raja de Casablanca breathes in the CAF Cup, a competition in which he will play the quarter-finals.
