The clash of extremes between Napoli (4th) and the red lantern, Crotone, was a real treat. A match marked by the duel between Super Eagles, Victor Osimhen and Simeon Nwankwo. And both shone.

Crazy match this Saturday in Serie A between SSC Napoli of Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly and FC Crotone of Algerian Adam Ounas. A duel which, however, turned to the advantage of the Neapolitans who were hot until the end. The  Gli Azzurri  win (4-3), in fact, in a meeting illuminated by two Nigerians. Victor Osimhen from Naples and Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo from  Rossoblù  .

Nwankwo far too alone

The two  Super Eagles  have, in fact, participated in this star-studded festival at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. But the Neapolitan striker did the best with this success and a precious goal (22nd). His compatriot wins, however, on a personal level. Simeon Nwankwo distinguished himself with a brace (25th and 48th). But these two goals are not enough to prevent his team from a 22nd defeat which pushes him into his place of red lantern.

Simeon Nwankwo and his partners are almost doomed to relegation. FC Crotone (20th, 15 pts, -39) is in fact 8 points behind the first non-relegation, Torino (17th, 23 pts, -11). The Turinese have, in addition, two games behind before the derby against Juventus this Saturday. A position that hardly reflects the stats of the Nigerian striker. “Simy” has already scored 15 goals in 29 Serie A games. 11 more goals than Osimhen

The Lagos native is currently in fourth place in the Italian league scorers list, tied with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 28-year-old striker has 11 more goals than his compatriot Napoli. Victor Osimhen scored only his fourth goal of the season this afternoon. Somewhat disappointing stats for a player bought at 70 million euros last summer. But to the discharge of the former Lille, he has played only 14 games since the start of the season.
