CAF Cup: CSS falls, Pyramids FC hits, Raja holds his draw

The first leg quarterfinals are all played. JS Kabylie carried out a good operation by beating CS Sfaxien (1-0). While Pyramids FC managed a full card (4-1) in front of Enyimba. Raja Casablanca brings back a good draw (1-1) from Johannesburg against Orlando Pirates. While the Dakar Jaraaf lost in Cameroon, in front of Coton Sport de Garoua (1-0). The return round will take place on May 23.  Round-up …

CS Sfax fell in Algeria, at the Taieb Mehiri stadium. The Sfaxiens were beaten by the Jeunesse Sportive Kabylie . The Algerians won the match thanks to a penalty converted by Ridha Ben Sayah, in the 61st minute. Despite a clear Sfaxienne domination, success will not have been at the rendezvous for the Tunisians. As evidenced by the penalty missed by CSS striker Firas Chawat in added time of the first period. The Algerians are therefore taking a good option for the return leg scheduled for May 23.

Pyramids FC atomizes Enyimba

It also smells good for Pyramids FC , finalist last season. The Egyptians atomized (4-1) the Nigerians of Enyimba. And yet it is the visitors who start the hostilities, opening the scoring in the first minute of play through Victor Chukwuama Mbamoa. It was not until the 15th minute to see the Egyptians glue back to the notice board thanks to Ramadan Sobhi (15th minute). Then, Abdallah El Said doubles the bet (49th minute), and a double from Ibrahim Adel (58th minute, 67th minute) closes the offensive festival of the hosts. A good option for Pyramids FC who will therefore go to Abudja, without pressure.

Dakar’s Jaraaf in bad shape

Coton Sport won in pain at home, against Jaraaf in Dakar . The Cameroonians beat the Senegalese on the wire (1-0). A goal scored by Lambert Araina in the 89th minute. Before the end of the first part of the meeting, the Dakar Jaraaf found itself outnumbered, following the exclusion of Cheikh Oumar Koné (37th minute). The Senegalese must rebel at home in a week, in particular to avoid an elimination in the quarterfinals.

Raja Casablanca draws a good draw at Joburg

Raja Casablanca managed to win the draw (1-1) in South Africa on the ground of Orlando Pirates. The first half of the match was eventful with Vincent Pule opening the scoring in the 39th minute . The South Africans will be joined in the score during the second by a goal from Ben Malango in the 60th minute, thus forcing their host to share points.
